Looking to

All around Victoria, everyday people are opening their hearts and their homes to children and young people who cannot live with their birth families. But many more foster carers are needed

If you want to give back to your local community, whilst also making a difference in the lives of children in need, consider becoming a foster carer.

As a foster carer you can help change a young life for the better. And you don’t have to be a superhero to do it. Foster carers don’t have to be in a relationship or have a big house. Carers come from all walks of life, backgrounds, ages and experiences.

The foster care role is very flexible and many different types of foster care options are available. People can choose from respite care, right through to emergency care and longer term care. Carers are also able to nominate the ages and gender of the children they’d like to care for.

The process to become an accredited carer takes up to six months. Carers undergo comprehensive training and are required to complete the step-by-step assessment process, which includes a criminal history and working with children check. Ongoing training and 24 hour support is also provided. So enquire today. You can make a difference!
