The Elan Hotel in Los Angeles was a wonderful stopping place to soak up the Hollywood experience.
The Elan has been refurbished with modern décor and furnishings and the rooms included all the commodities one could hope for – an iPad, two plasma TVs, free Wi-Fi, a coffee machine and attractive, spacious bathroom.
We stayed in a Family Suite which was perfect for our family of four. It included a King size bed and a lounge suite which was set down by housekeeping staff in the evenings as a queen size bed for the children. Both beds were very comfortable; I even noticed how luxurious the pillows and linen were. Attention to detail was evident throughout.
The Elan was a quiet, stylish hotel and felt rather homely.
The rooms were very clean and the housekeeping service was excellent.
The Elan was a quiet, stylish hotel and felt rather homely. We were invited to free breakfast and a complimentary wine and cheese during the evening cocktail receptions.
There was a common dining and seating area which included free use of computers for guests.
The hotel is great value for families – it is tasteful, comfortable, clean, well-priced and in an excellent location.
